Prosperity is a post-industrial alternative rock outfit from Seattle, WA (occupied Coast Salish territory). Their abrasive yet melodic sound, accompanied by drum machine and heavy synth-laden textures, is reminiscent of groups like Jesu, Failure, and Author & Punisher, yet retains a distinctive voice. Started in 2024 by David (vocals, guitar, programming), John (vocals, guitar), and Joshua (bass, synth), the band evolved from an experimental collaboration into a means to reconstitute human solidarity through art in the urgency of our historical conjuncture. Prosperity is deeply committed to the liberation and defense of the disenfranchised and working masses of the world, creating unyielding elegies of hope in a time of despair.
